DRIFTWOOD COTTAGE – TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF BOOKING
Eligibility of booking. The number of persons using Driftwood Cottage shall not exceed six: the only exception is for one additional infant under 2 years of age who may be added to the booking. The booking is not transferable. Please note that we reserve the right not to accept bookings from groups of single persons under the age of 25, or all male or all female parties. This will be at our discretion. If you fail to observe conditions agreed, we reserve the right to request that you vacate the property immediately without any compensation being payable to you.
Reservations. Any reservation made on-line or by telephone will be cancelled if the appropriate booking form and deposit payment is not received within seven days, unless otherwise agreed.
Payment. A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the booking price is payable by bank transfer for all bookings made more than 45 days in advance of the holiday date. The balance is then due 45 days prior to the start of the holiday.
For all booking made less than 45 days prior to the holiday, the full price is payable on booking.
Once we have received your final payment, a receipt for the holiday will be sent to you. Directions to Driftwood Cottage and instructions on how to collect the keys to the property will be sent one week before your stay.
Please note that we do not send payment reminders – the date the balance is due payment is clearly indicated on your booking confirmation. If the balance is not paid in full by the due date, we will be entitled to cancel the booking without further notice to you. The cancellation will be deemed to have been made by you and the cancellation clause of these conditions will apply.
Payment methods. Our preferred method of payment is by direct transfer to our bank account. We cannot accept direct payment using credit or debit cards but this is possible via PayPal; should you wish to use this payment method, please contact us so that we can send you a PayPal invoice for your action.
Cancellation of the booking by you. If you need to cancel your booking you must contact us in writing or by email as soon as possible. For cancellations more than 45 days prior to the booking we will give a full refund of the total sum due, less the deposit. For cancellations made less than 45 days prior to the check-in date we will only give a 25% refund unless we manage to relet the reservation period in which case we shall refund the full amount, less the deposit. For this reason, we strongly recommend that you obtain suitable travel insurance to cover against this risk.
Cancellation by us. In the very unlikely event that we have to cancel your holiday for any reason, we will refund the total amount paid by you for your booking, including the deposit. No additional compensation will be payable.
DURING YOUR STAY
Key Collection and Return Timings. Driftwood Cottage will be available to you from 4pm on the date of arrival. Please vacate the cottage by 10am on your last day. These timings are necessary so as to allow our housekeeper enough time to clean the cottage and prepare it for the next guests. If you have a particular need to change these timings, please contact us, as we may be able to adjust timings slightly.
Cottage Contents. Please take care of the cottage and its contents. Please let the housekeeper know about any breakages or damage to the property if possible. We understand that breakages may happen but we need to know if anything needs replacing before the next guests arrive. Please also be aware that the small wardrobes in the double/twin bedrooms are not attached to the walls so we would suggest supervising any small children in these rooms.
Bed Linen and Towels. On arrival, you will find beds made up with fresh linen for you, along with a bath and hand towel per person. Please don't use the towels outside the cottage (on the beach or at the gym). It would be much appreciated by our housekeeper if you could strip the beds before leaving the cottage.
Pets. Up to 2/3 well-behaved dogs may accompany you during your stay. Please notify us on booking. Please do not permit your dogs to sleep on the beds or settees or cause a nuisance to others. Please note that dogs must be kept on a lead throughout Pendra Loweth village. If the housekeeper notes any damage caused by your dog(s) following your stay we reserve the right to raise a bill for repairs.
Pendra Loweth Estate. The cottage is part of the Pendra Loweth estate development. The estate maintains the grounds and the leisure facilities (gym, sauna, pool, jacuzzi and tennis courts), not Driftwood Cottage. If you have any problems with these facilities, please inform the Pendra Loweth reception office and they will sort it out. Please, don't go to them with problems about the cottage; they have no responsibility for the cottage, that's our job!If you have a problem with Driftwood Cottage please contact us as soon as possible; we want you to have a great time on your holiday, so the sooner you can let us know, the sooner we can sort it out.
